In recent years, English language learners are becoming highly dependent on the 

use of their smart phones to find out meanings of the vocabulary they usually do 

not know. A study by Soy (2022) highlighted that English language teachers need 

to introduce the use of smartphones as a learning tool to their students and take 

serious actions by not allowing them to use them during classes or making good 

classroom management and strict regulation concerning smartphone use in the 

classroom. The researcher in this paper attempts to shed lights on research 

conducted in this field by exploring advantages and disadvantages of the use of 

smartphones by (EFL) English language learners. This paper aims to identify the 

effectiveness of smartphones in enhancing language acquisition among learners 

by synthesizing data from various studies. The data of this study included 

analyzing 47 articles published between (2014) and (2023). The topics of the 

articles predominately were about smartphones and English language learning. 

This simple paper offers valuable insights for educators and stockholders seeking 

to optimize smartphone use in language education.

Abstract :

This paper generally investigates religious texts in many aspects, definition,

ways of translation, and difficulties in translation that may face both translators

and MA students. Yet it particularly focuses on The Holy Quran, its distinction

over other kinds of texts and difficulties translators and/or MA students face

when translating its verses and passages. Translating religious passages literally

(like The Holy Quran) will not give the real meaning , but it depends on the

interpreting ( tafseer ) to make the readers of the translation get the real and

intended meaning. The participants of this study were ten MA students of both

genders.

The results of this study show that translation is not always an easy task,

especially translating religious texts. This type of text is different from all

other types of literature, scientific, technical … etc. Translators have to follow

special translation techniques to produce an accurate translation and be faith to

the original text, never omit words or replace them with words may change

the intended meaning. That is a big challenge faces translators of religious

texts.

ملخص البحث :

في عام 8102 م ، تم تقديم منهج جديد للغة الإنجليزية يسمى القرن الحادي

والعشرين في ليبيا. وضعت وزارة التربية والتعليم خطة لتدريب المعلمين على

تطبيق هذا المنهج . حضر حوالي 011 مدرسا من مناطق مختلفة في ليبيا في العديد

من ورش عمل تدريب للمعلمين في تونس التي قدمتها Garnet Education ،

وبعد ذلك ، عاد المتدربون إلى ليبيا لتدريب معلمي مدارس اللغة الإنجليزية على

استخدام الاستراتيجيات والتقنيات التي تتوافق مع أهداف المنهج.

وقد تم استخدام منهج البحث النوعي لجمع البيانات في هذه الدراسة عن طريق

مقابلات شبه منظمة مع عشرة معلمين لغة إنجليزية. أظهرت النتائج أن معظم

المعلمين الذين شاركوا في الدراسة واجهوا تحديات في تدريس منهج اللغة

الإنجليزية الجديد حيث تضمنت هذه التحديات، عدم توفر الوسائل التعليمية، عدد

الطلبة الكبير داخل الفصل، وعدم دعم الأساليب الحديثة المتبعة في تدريس المنهج

الجديد من قبل إدارات المدارس والمفتشين
