Based on the celebration organized today, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, by the Committee of the National Program for the Development of Peer-Reviewed Libyan Journals at the headquarters of the Open University, to announce the results of the classification of Libyan scientific journals listed on the “DOAJ” platform for 2026, which followed the previously announced timeline and lasted six continuous weeks dedicated to evaluating scientific journals and examining their compliance with approved quality and accreditation standards, with the attendance of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, several university presidents, academics, and those interested in developing the scientific publishing system in Libya.  

On this occasion, the Committee for Supervision and Follow-up of Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journals at the University of Gharyan extends its highest congratulations and sincere felicitations to the editorial board of the University of Gharyan Journal of Engineering Sciences, the editorial team, advisory board members, reviewers, and all staff of the journal, on the occasion of the journal achieving the third classification (Q3) within the results of the Libyan scientific journals classification for 2026.  

This achievement represents an important step in the journal’s journey and a clear indication of its progress in applying standards of quality and excellence in scientific publishing, its commitment to professional and ethical regulations, and its dedication to developing editorial policies and improving the quality of published scientific research in line with national and international standards adopted in the evaluation of peer-reviewed scientific journals.  

The classification also reflects the fruit of continuous efforts made by the editorial team and all those involved in the journal to develop its institutional performance, improve the quality of scientific peer review, enhance transparency and integrity in publishing procedures, and provide a solid scientific environment that serves researchers and supports the movement of scientific research, thereby strengthening the journal’s position and increasing its academic presence at both national and regional levels.  

The Committee for Supervision and Follow-up of Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journals at the University of Gharyan affirms that this achievement serves as a motivation to continue the path of development and continuous improvement, and to work towards achieving higher classifications in upcoming cycles, through adherence to quality standards, expanding scientific cooperation, and enhancing opportunities for indexing and international dissemination, thereby contributing to elevating the academic reputation of the journal, reflecting the distinguished scientific standing of the University of Gharyan, and supporting its vision in developing scientific research and academic publishing.  

In conclusion, the committee wishes the journal’s management and all its affiliates continued success and excellence, with further achievements and distinction, asking God Almighty to bless their efforts and grant them success in achieving greater leadership and excellence, in service of scientific research and in raising the name of the University of Gharyan high in national and international scientific forums.
