Dialogue Session Titled "Matching Graduates' Skills with Labor Market Requirements"

Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Gharyan University, Dr. Abdulaziz Boudina, representing Gharyan University, attended the dialogue sessions hosted by the Academy of Graduate Studies in Janzour on Monday, January 27, 2025. These dialogue sessions were titled "Matching Graduates' Skills with Labor Market Requirements" and are part of the first phase of the EU4SKILLS project.


This project is funded by the European Union in Libya, co-financed by the French government, and implemented by Expertise France in cooperation with the Union for the Mediterranean Universities.


The project aims to enhance the use of digital technology in economic activities and develop applications related to the green and blue economies, thereby promoting the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market needs.


The sessions saw broad participation from Libyan universities, technical colleges, government institutions, and business professionals. The sessions began with a series of opening speeches by Mr. Mohamed Aywaz, Acting President of the Academy of Graduate Studies; Mr. Saleh Al-Ghoul, Deputy Minister of Higher Education; Mr. Saad Al-Hanish, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade; Mr. Taher Bin Taher, Deputy Minister of Technical and Vocational Education; Mr. Rajab Al-Akkashi, Director General of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions; Mr. Mohamed Al-Aswad, Deputy Director of Programs at Expertise France; and Mr. Marcello Scalisi, Director of the Union for the Mediterranean Universities.
