As part of promoting environmental awareness, the Department of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources / Faculty of Science – Gharyan organized an awareness campaign on the occasion of National Earth Day. The campaign lasted several days and included a variety of awareness and interactive activities within the faculty.

The campaign opened with the distribution of awareness posters, along with an interactive activity titled:

"How will you change the Earth for the better?" 🌱

which saw remarkable participation from students and faculty members.

The campaign also addressed several important environmental themes, with each day dedicated to a specific topic:

💧 Water: promoting a culture of rational consumption  

🌬️ Air: raising awareness of the importance of reducing pollution  

♻️ Waste: spreading concepts of reduction, reuse, and sorting  

⚡ Energy: encouraging conscious use of energy  

During these days, supportive awareness posters were distributed for each theme, aiming to instill positive environmental behaviors within the university community.

This campaign stems from the belief that change begins with the individual, and that environmental awareness is the first step toward achieving sustainability.
