Within the framework of enhancing the role of scientific research and activating mechanisms for employing modern technologies in the development of academic work, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Gharyan organized, on the morning of Tuesday, June 9, 2026, a specialized workshop entitled: "Digital Engineering of Previous Studies Using Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools," held at the Theater of the Faculty of Engineering – Gharyan University.  

The workshop was presented by Professor Samar Al-Arabi, faculty member in the Computer Science Department at the Faculty of Science in Gharyan, and Head of the Quality Department at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Gharyan. She professionally showcased a package of generative AI tools and modern methodologies for using these tools to serve previous studies, enriching the participants’ knowledge and opening new horizons for digital scientific research.  

The workshop witnessed distinguished attendance led by the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the Head of the University’s Faculty Members Syndicate, the College’s Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, the Heads of the Quality and General Subjects Departments, the Faculty Members Syndicate at the College, and the Registrar of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Gharyan, along with a select group of faculty members, postgraduate students, and research enthusiasts.  

The topics presented by Professor Samar received wide interaction from participants, who showed great interest in how to apply these tools in their scientific research. Concluding the workshop, and in light of its positive impact and success, the college agreed with Professor Samar Al-Arabi to organize an expanded training workshop later, in coordination with Gharyan University administration, aiming to enhance practical skills in this promising field.  

At the end of the event, the Dean of the College presented certificates of appreciation to all who contributed to organizing and ensuring the success of the workshop, valuing the added scientific contribution it provided to the research system at the college.
