The Faculty of Medicine celebrates World No Tobacco Day.
As part of efforts to promote health awareness and combat smoking, the Faculty of Medicine organized a celebratory event in observance of World No Tobacco Day, which falls on May 31 each year. The event was held under the theme "Exposing the Tactics of the Tobacco Industry," with participation from students, faculty members, and visiting professors.
The event featured awareness lectures on the harmful effects of smoking and prevention methods, aiming to encourage healthy behaviors and spread a culture of smoking cessation among both the university and local communities.
Organizers emphasized the crucial role of medical professionals in educating the public about smoking risks and the need to intensify efforts to reduce smoking rates, particularly among young people, given the severe health and economic consequences of tobacco use.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were distributed to participants, wishing everyone continued health and well-being.
