Council of Libyan Universities holds first 2026 meeting and inaugurates Faculty of Forensic Sciences at Al-Zaytouna University
The Council of Libyan Universities today held its first regular meeting of 2026, chaired by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohamed Dabeeb, with the participation of university presidents, institutions, centers, and several ministry officials at Al-Zaytouna University.
The meeting discussed the development of the higher education and scientific research system, adopting decisions to enhance university efficiency, ensure quality, promote digital transformation, and align educational outputs with labor market needs and development plans.
Following the meeting, the Faculty of Forensic Sciences affiliated with Al-Zaytouna University in Tarhuna was inaugurated, attended by the minister, council members, and several officials.
The opening of the faculty comes as part of supporting specialized disciplines and expanding higher education to prepare national cadres that serve justice and law enforcement institutions.
