Gharyan University’s Participation in the Visit and Signing of an Agreement Between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Oil Research Center

On Sunday morning, September 28, 2025, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Imran Al-Qeeb, visited the Oil Research Center. During the visit, he met with Mr. Ahmed Ammar, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, and Engineer Khaled Al-Ati, Director of the Oil Research Center, in the presence of the President of the Libyan Academy, Dr. Ali Al-Faqih, Deputy for Scientific Affairs at Gharyan University, along with several directors of departments and offices from the ministry and centers, the energy affairs advisor at the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, a number of deputies for scientific affairs at universities, college deans, and several officials and specialists from both sides.

On the sidelines of the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Oil Research Center. The agreement was signed on behalf of the ministry by the Director of the University Affairs Department, and on behalf of the center by the Director of the Oil Research Center. The aim of the agreement is to strengthen partnership, exchange expertise, and support applied research projects in the education and energy sectors.
