Workshop on artificial intelligence tools in scientific research and community service - February 6, 2025
At the Faculty of Science, Gharyan, a workshop titled " artificial intelligence tools in scientific research and community service" was organized in collaboration between the Community and Environment Service Office, the Research and Consultation Office, and the Computer Science Department.
The events were inaugurated with speeches from the university president and the college dean, focusing on the importance of artificial intelligence in driving scientific progress and contributing to community service. The organizers also delivered a speech that outlined the workshop's objectives and the importance of technical tools in supporting scientific research and developing community work environments.
The workshop included two main lectures on the latest artificial intelligence tools and how to use them in scientific research, presented by:
- Ms. Samar Al-Tahir Al-Arabi
- Ms. Intisar Miloud Al-Shamis
Additionally, two demonstration presentations were delivered:
- A system for detecting Libyan banknotes for the visually impaired using artificial intelligence technologies by engineers Siraj Al-Dhabah and Ibrahim Amoura
- A model for detecting brain tumors using artificial intelligence technologies by engineer Shaaban Mohamed Shaaban
The workshop was attended by many deans of faculties, vice deans for academic affairs, faculty members from various colleges, students, researchers, as well as members of the Tamkeen Organization and the Red Crescent Society - Gharyan.
At the end of the workshop, participation certificates were distributed to the attendees. As for attendance certificates, they will be prepared according to the attendance lists registered today, and the method of their distribution will be announced soon.
