Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Tools in Scientific Research and Healthcare

On 24/02/2025, the Faculty of Health Sciences in Gharyan held a workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence Tools in Scientific Research and Healthcare"* at the Faculty of Engineering Theater in Gharyan. The workshop featured two main lectures:
- First Lecture:"Artificial Intelligence Tools in Scientific Research"_ presented by Professor Samar Al-Taher, who explored how AI technologies can enhance scientific research and data analysis.
- Second Lecture: "Artificial Intelligence Tools in Healthcare"_ presented by Dr. Abdel Halim Mustafa, focusing on AI applications in improving healthcare quality, disease diagnosis, and medical data management.
The workshop was widely attended, including the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Ahmed Al-Hadi Shutawa, who opened his speech by praising the attendees, paying tribute to the late Dr. Imhamed Al-Habashi, and wishing a speedy recovery to Dr. Fathi, Dean of the Faculty of Education in Kikla, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ajeeli, and all patients. He also extended thanks to the university president, vice president, all administrative departments, as well as the deans of the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, and Science for their contributions to the event’s success, emphasizing the importance of such activities in academic development.
Additionally, the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hala Al-Mushwat, gave a speech on the same topic. The workshop was attended by Dr. Abdelhamid, the head of the Gharyan University Syndicate, along with faculty deans, heads of academic and administrative departments, faculty registrars, professors, university staff, and students from various faculties.
The workshop was coordinated by the Director of the Community Service Office, Professor Mohammed Sweisi, and represented an important step in raising awareness of the significance of AI in scientific research and healthcare, encouraging practical applications of these technologies within the academic and medical community.
