| Specialized Training Workshop on Using the "Dolj" Platform for Managing Scientific Journals |

Gharyan University, in collaboration with the National Program for the Development of Scientific Journals under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and coordinated by the University’s Committee for Monitoring and Supervising Scientific Journals, organized a specialized training workshop on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Faculty of Science Theater in Gharyan. The workshop focused on using the "Dolj" platform for managing scientific journals.

The workshop was opened by the President of Gharyan University, Dr. Saleh Qashout, with a welcoming speech, followed by remarks from Dr. Tarek Al-Dhabi’, Head of the Committee for Monitoring and Quality Assurance of Scientific Journals at Gharyan University, and Dr. Ali Ahmed Salem, Director of the Office of Higher Education and Scientific Research Affairs and Coordinator of the National Program for the Development of Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journals.

The workshop aimed to enhance the scientific research environment in Libya, build an academic publishing system aligned with international standards, and empower researchers, academics, and journal editors to explore the latest advanced digital publishing tools. It targeted faculty members, researchers, journal editors, and postgraduate students.

The workshop was attended by several university presidents from the mountain region (President of Nalut University, President of Zintan University), editors-in-chief of several scientific journals, the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, a number of college deans, and other interested participants.

The workshop was delivered by a group of experts and specialists from the National Program for the Development of Scientific Journals and included interactive sessions:

The first lecture, titled "Scientific Research and Paper Writing: The Libyan Reality," was presented by Dr. Khaled Imran Al-Akrooti.

The second lecture, titled "Criteria for Including Scientific Journals in the Libyan Electronic Journal Directory – Second Update for 2026," was presented by Dr. Ahmed Atiyah.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the university presented honorary shields to members of the National Program for the Development of Scientific Journals and honored both the President of Nalut University and the President of Zintan University. Certificates of attendance were distributed to the participants.
