Workshop on the "Armonia "Project Agreement.
As part of Gharyan University's continuous commitment to activating agreements signed with Libyan, regional, and international universities, which include active participation in conferences and scientific forums,
Gharyan University organized a workshop this morning, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, regarding the "Armonia" project agreement signed between a group of Libyan universities and the Euro-Mediterranean University Union.
The university hosted Professor Dr. Khaled Aoun, President of Tripoli University, along with his accompanying team. They were received by Dr. Saleh Ramadan Qashout, President of Gharyan University, along with university office directors and faculty deans.
In his welcome speech, the university president expressed deep gratitude for this initiative, reaffirming his full support for activating all scientific activities and events. He highlighted the significant role of the "Armonia" project, which represents an important leap toward enhancing academic quality.
The workshop included a scientific lecture delivered by Professor Dr. Khaled Aoun, titled:
"The Armonia Project and the European Credit Transfer System (ECTs)."
On the sidelines of the workshop, participants discussed key challenges and difficulties that Libyan universities may face in implementing this project. Additionally, a set of proposals was presented as initial steps for application.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the president of Gharyan University emphasized the necessity of officially implementing the European Credit Transfer System (ECTs), noting the importance of selecting one academic discipline as a pilot study to explore potential opportunities and challenges for broader application.
