Workshop on Enhancing Skills and Aligning Higher Education with the Labor Market

Gharyan University, in coordination with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Gharyan University, organized a workshop and dialogue titled "Enhancing Skills to Align Higher Education Outcomes with Labor Market Needs." The event hosted a group of experts and specialists in entrepreneurship, innovation, and cybersecurity.
The workshop began with opening speeches from the University President, Dr. Saleh Ramadan Qeshout, and Engineer Mohamed Al-Aswad, who highlighted the importance of enhancing student skills to meet the challenges of the changing labor market. This was followed by a presentation by Professor Samar Al-Tahir Al-Arabi on "Enhancing AI Skills," where she discussed effective strategies for developing these skills in education.
Professor Intisar Al-Shams then gave a presentation on "Enhancing Cybersecurity Skills," explaining the importance of awareness of cyber threats and how to protect information.
Dr. Abdulaziz Boudinah, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, gave a presentation on the center's role in enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation skills, praising the initiatives offered by the center to support students and innovators.
The workshop concluded with an interactive dialogue session, where opinions and ideas were exchanged on how to apply the content discussed in the presentations to enhance the educational experience and develop the necessary skills for success in the labor market. At the end of the dialogue, a shield was presented to Mr. Mohamed Al-Aswad in recognition of his endless support for excellence and innovation programs.
This workshop is part of Gharyan University's efforts to strengthen its role among higher education institutions and ensure that its outcomes meet market needs, contributing to the preparation of qualified and distinguished graduates.
