The International Ranking Committee at Gharyan University held an intensive workshop today, Monday, September 29, 2026, at Bab Al-Bahr Hotel in Tripoli. The workshop focused on discussing the mechanisms of the Arab University Ranking Indicators 2026, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance its readiness and meet the requirements for inclusion in this ranking, thereby elevating its academic and research standing locally and regionally.

The workshop featured extensive discussions on key topics, including a review of the criteria and indicators of the Arab ranking, methods of collecting and documenting required data, and identifying effective practices and practical measures that faculties and administrations should implement to improve the university’s performance in the targeted indicators, increasing its chances of achieving an advanced ranking.

It also addressed the importance of coordination between academic and administrative units, establishing clear mechanisms to monitor the implementation of ranking requirements, and exploring ways to develop institutional performance, improve the quality of education and research, and strengthen scientific publishing and academic cooperation in line with the standards adopted in the Arab University Ranking. This workshop is part of a series of programs and meetings organized by the International Ranking Committee to instill a culture of institutional ranking and realize Gharyan University’s vision of enhancing competitiveness and advancing quality and academic excellence indicators.
