On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Imran Al-Qeeb, held a meeting at Zintan University with several presidents of Libyan universities, including Gharyan University, Zintan University, Nalut University, Al-Zaytouna University, and the Libyan Academy. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Advisory Committee at the Ministry.

During the meeting, the university presidents urged the Minister to intervene in resolving the issue of delayed disbursement of budgets under Chapters Two and Three for their institutions. They emphasized the importance of finding sustainable solutions to ensure regular budget allocations, enabling universities to fulfill their academic and research roles effectively.
