Graduating qualified and scientifically prepared cadres to be distinguished members in educational and academic fields as teaching assistants at the college, representing the project of future faculty members, in addition to graduating trained anesthesia technicians to assist anesthesiologists in providing safe and high-quality care to patients in operating rooms and intensive care units

Description
The Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care was established since the founding of the college in 2016 by decision No. (618) from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, due to the community's need for graduates with specialized professional competencies and abilities to meet the needs of hospitals and many health centers. The department aims to graduate specialized cadres to work in operating rooms and in intensive care and resuscitation units. Graduates are awarded a certificate qualifying them to work as anesthesia and intensive care technicians. The duration of study in this specialization is four academic years, during which a total of one hundred and thirty-five credit units are studied, after which the student undergoes clinical training in the clinics affiliated with the college or one of the governmental teaching hospitals for a full period of three months.
