On Monday, March 3, 2025 , the Faculty of Sciences at Gharyan University organized an event titled "A Touch of Loyalty" to honor the memory of the late Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Habshi , may Allah have mercy on him. He made significant contributions to education and left an unforgettable legacy in our hearts and minds.

The commemoration was attended by his family, including his daughter, sons, siblings, and a group of his relatives, as well as Dr. Saleh Qishout, President of Gharyan University , Dr. Ali Al-Fiqi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs , Dr. Abdulhamid Al-Shaibani, University Syndicate Representative , Dr. Nasser Abu Rawi, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences , Dr. Intisar Abdul-Aty, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs at the Faculty , along with several directors of university departments, faculty members, students, and friends of the late professor who gathered from near and far to participate.

The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an , delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Fathi Ali .

Following this, Professor Manal Khalifa Hassan , the event coordinator, emphasized in her speech that Dr. Mohammed Al-Habshi was a distinguished figure in both scientific and humanitarian contributions. She noted that knowledge does not vanish after its bearer departs but remains alive through their ideas and contributions, shaping the lives of students and colleagues.

Next, Dr. Nasser Abu Rawi, Dean of the Faculty , delivered a speech highlighting the late professor’s pivotal role in developing the faculty and university, emphasizing his dedication to academia.

Several speeches followed, expressing deep respect and appreciation for Dr. Al-Habshi. Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, University Syndicate Representative , spoke about distinguished figures in education who leave an indelible mark, noting that Dr. Mohammed Al-Habshi was one of those who served knowledge with unwavering dedication and sincerity.

Dr. Saleh Qishout, President of the University , affirmed that Dr. Mohammed Al-Habshi was an example of commitment and excellence in work, earning admiration and respect from all. He emphasized that the university mourns his loss, but his academic and institutional legacy remains.

A visual presentation of Dr. Al-Habshi's biography , prepared by Professor Amani Abdul-Salam , provided an opportunity for attendees to reflect on his career milestones.

An open session followed, allowing friends and colleagues to share their emotions and appreciation for the late professor. The speeches were filled with sincerity, accompanied by tears reflecting the depth of human and academic relationships he fostered.

The event concluded with a speech from his family, delivered by Dr. Yassin Al-Habshi , his brother, expresses gratitude to the attendees. His son Abdulraouf received a "Loyalty and Appreciation Award" from the Faculty of Sciences, honoring the late professor’s impactful role in academia.

May Dr. Mohammed Al-Habshi rest in peace, and may Allah grant him paradise. May his knowledge and contributions continue to illuminate paths for generations to come.
