The Launch of the Quran Memorization Competition Under the Theme "Women Remembering"

On the morning of Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the first round of the Quran Memorization Competition "Women Remembering," supervised by the Women's Support and Empowerment Office and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, began at the Gharyan University complex, which includes Gharyan University, the Academy Branch of Gharyan, the Ismiriya Branch, Nalut University, and the Open University.

The competition began with verses from the Holy Quran recited by one of the participants, followed by the national anthem. Then, the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Gharyan University, Dr. Ali Al-Faqih, delivered a speech in which he praised the efforts made to make this competition a success and emphasized the importance of this competition, which aims to encourage women to memorize the Holy Quran and enhance the status of women in society through their role in spreading Islamic values. This was followed by a speech from the Chair of the Judging Committee, Professor Amna Al-Taher Qadoa.

The participants then began the first day of the competition.
