Dialogue titled: Models of Different Governance Systems and the Most Suitable System for Libya

In fulfillment of its duty and based on its firm belief that the nation needs the combined efforts of its citizens to advance, and given that Libya is witnessing extensive discussions on the form of government that will lead the country in the coming phase.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Gharyan organized a scientific dialogue titled: (Models of Different Governance Systems and the Most Suitable System for Libya)
The objectives of this dialogue included shedding light on different governance models around the world and discussing their suitability for the current Libyan context. It examined the most prominent models, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of each system.
Professor Mohamed Saeed Abu Qusah (a retired faculty member and former ambassador) participated in this dialogue. He provided an engaging explanation and in-depth analysis of this important topic. The main points of discussion included:
- Models of different governance systems: (Full presidential, semi-presidential, parliamentary, semi-parliamentary, military, etc.)
- Advantages and disadvantages of each system.
- International experiences in choosing governance systems.
- The optimal system for Libya: challenges and opportunities.
- The role of political institutions in the success of the system.
A group of professors and experts in law and political science from the faculty and beyond participated in the dialogue, offering in-depth analyses. They posed many questions, which Professor Mohamed Abu Qusah answered openly.
