Directors of International Cooperation and Quality Offices at Gharyan University Participate in a Zoom Meeting
Today, Wednesday, 04/12/2024, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ashour, Director of the International Cooperation Office at Gharyan University, and Dr. Tarek Faraj Al-Dabea, Director of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Office at the university, participated in a Zoom meeting of the working group for the "Armonia" project aimed at developing higher education in Libya. This project is overseen by the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED) and funded by the European Union. During the meeting, the work plan and timelines for all project activities were presented.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Marcello Iskizi, General Director of the Union of Mediterranean Universities and the project's general coordinator, his team, as well as the Directors of International Cooperation and Quality Offices at the Libyan universities participating in the project, the Libyan Academy, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and representatives from the Italian and Turkish universities also involved in the project.
The "Armonia" project aims to develop and modernize the higher education system in Libya, support the introduction of principles and practices of the Bologna Process, and promote regional integration through the establishment of similar recognition systems, quality assurance tools, and academic cooperation plans.
It is supported by the European Union as part of capacity-building programs in Libyan universities.
